Thank you ShagCA; I have multiple devices and know that it is indeed an iPad 2 (the iPad 10 was obviously a typo). Well the iPad has downloaded iOS 10; what bugs me is that Apple let it download on an iPad 2 which is not compatible with iOS 10; had I not cautioned my parents to contact me before any upgrade, it would have probably bricked their iPad.
